Just an FYI: I would recommend toning down the registration verification. Primarily the problem is with the guessing game of letters/numbers in the box grid during nickname creation. It took me 10 minutes and several retries before I could figure out the combination of letters and #s in the box (and I am in the younger crowd). I think the site would stand to see more registrations if they could make it just a little easier to get on in the first place.
