What's the best dogfood for puppies?

Postby PupsTx » Tue Feb 12, 2008 9:01 pm

I've been trying to find the best puppy food out there. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for a natural dog food that's not $1000.00 a bag :)

Thanks!

For years I've been using "Solid Gold". Over the last year however we began to have problems our 2 dogs not keeping their weight on. We spoke with our VET and he reccomended Innova. Innova has all the standard food - Canned, dry, adult, puppy, elderly etc.....

It's been 6 months now and our 2 dogs (1 boxer and 1 choclate lab) are doing MUCh better now.

So were sold on it. We reccomend it to all our friends and those who made the move to it love it. It's very natural and our dogs love it!

Hope that helps :)

Hey that's great news. I know a lot of people like to use REAL raw food and although I would LOVE to give it to my dogs, I just cant afford it. I think Innova is a alternative. It's not SUPER inexpensive but, it's not that bad.

Glad to hear it's working out for you!

When we raised chocolate labs, we fed them IAMS for puppies. It seemed to do ok. But not sure if it was the natural one or not.

I mix dry Innova with oatmeal and Taz seems to do really good on it. For a while I was trying to give her the Raw food with Innova but it was just tooo expensive. 3 years now with the Oatmeal w/Innova and things are going great.

I suggest you do not switch now that you found what is working. When you switch dog food or give your pets people food w/their normal food, they can develop problems. Either skin or snomache problems. So keep them on their dog food.

Giving a healthy food for our pup pis is a very important matter to consider. If your puppy shows activeness, I would like to suggest you the BLUE Wilderness. It is formulated to meet the needs of active dogs. BLUE Wilderness is a grain free, high-protein, ultra low-carb natural dog food that will help him maintain a high energy level.
